The Ultimate Troubleshooter

The Ultimate Troubleshooter is a help application for Windows. The application developers claim that 95% of the problems your computer can present are caused by spyware and processes that are not supposed to be running and actually are. For example, they say that if you can't connect to a wireless network outside of home, it must probably be spyware. I am going to have to disagree. Not everything is caused by spyware. In short, this application is a process scanner and a spyware scanner. It will not solve any problem that is not spyware related. So if your computer locks up, and it ends up being a memory problem, the Ultimate Troubleshooter will not even have a clue. It will just scan spyware, tell you to remove it, and then try again. When I read the name of this application, I thought that finally somebody came up with a comprehensive list of problems and solutions, not a spyware detector with a fancy name. So, if you want to pay a ridiculous amount of money in a spyware detector, I would recommend you go for a better-known brand. The latest version of this application is 4.84. However, this review deals with version 4.8.
